30 years ago my father handed me his old manual Nikon FA and I've been composing photographic moments ever since. My first job at 16 years old was as a photographer in Colorado capturing families on Summer rafting excursions. In college I was the Photo Editor for the Vanderbilt Hustler, the oldest newspaper in Tennessee, where I received a few photojournalism awards and trained other photographers on my staff.
After studying cinematography at NYU and University of Southern California I came back to Vanderbilt, and taught a photography class. Over the years my work has been published for many events ranging from NBA games to Rolling Stones concerts. But I've taken the most joy in capturing the personal moments that mean the most to small groups of people. I cherish providing my family, friends, and clients with keepsakes that will color a lifetime of memories.
